Hall of Fame : Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum
Hello again my lovelies, so today I bring you another skincare review of one of my all time stand out products. Of course it is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum. As i'm sure you are aware serum is one of those products that just don't come cheap, and when you consider the fact that serums are largely directed at a more mature market (no offence ladies) this means is often the younger folk like me don't get the opportunity to try the some of the new innovations in skincare as they are usually WAYY out of any teenagers beauty budget.
Now onto the Vichy serum, this beauty is designed to hydrate the skin beyond the level of a moisturizer. Now considering the £22.50 price tag I have to say this really does do what it says on the tin (well glass bottle...). This product makes my leather like skin almost manageable and completely removes that awful tight feeling you get when you have dehydrated skin like myself.
Now considering i'm a bit of a spring chicken, anti aging hasn't made its way onto my agenda yet and don't think it will for a rather long time...I hope... So my main focus in my skincare routine is to hydrate my skin. Also as a makeup artist I have to say this really helps my foundation application because when your skin is nice and hydrated and plump your foundation goes on so much nicer and doesn't cling to any dry patches.
So for any of you girls out there who struggle with dry, dehydrated skin I highly recommend this product to you and hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Now I'm off to order a new bottle as I cannot be without it.
Love Always,
Megan

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil Review
Hello my lovelies, today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on the coveted Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil.
Okay so first things first, those of you who have never used an Oil cleanser before may be a little put off at the idea of rubbing straight up oil all over your face. To these people I can say I was exactly the same when I tried the Una Brennan Superfacialist Cleansing Oil. So once you get past the bizarre feeling of dowsing your face in oil you will appreciate how well an oil can dissolve makeup and cleanse the skin.
Now as much as I loved the Superfacialist Oil I have a personal vendetta against the packaging. I mean really who thought that design up? I cannot tell you the number of times I have tipped it down the sink accidentally. So when my sister told be about the Clinique and its oh so sleek packaging I was a little bit too excited about it.
The handy pump that locks when twisted is perfect for taking this cleanser out and about which is great for me as I live between 3 houses. There is no faffing about with lids on this product and about a 0.01% chance you could ever chuck any down the bathroom sink. The other great bonus for this is that it is a much thinner oil than the UBSF to there is no icky residue (I swear I am a grown up) left on your skin and no need to do a second cleanse with a different product.
The Clinique Oil also has no fragrance so for some this is a major selling point, I personally do not mind the artificial Orange smell of the UBSF but then again it is very reminiscent of that Orange scent the Body Shop used to make when I was a kid.
Overall I think the Clinique Cleanser is a fine choice and would pick this over any other oil cleanser I have tried purely because of the simplicity of the product. No smell, no sticky residue, no spillages this beauty is perfect. You can pick this up at quite a few beauty retailers and this is usually priced at £22 which I personally think is rather reasonable when you look at cleansers from other companies. If you have any other products from Clinique that you love let me now as this is the first thing I have tried.
Love Always

The January Lust List

Hello again, As in sure you have all figured out by now that I am beauty obsessed, seriously. I spend much of my breaks at work scouring through Space NK, Liberty and John Lewis's websites hunting down new products to add to my imaginary wishlist.
So for many months I have been compiling a Lust List in my planner of all the Skincare and Makeup Items that I have been lusting after. So I thought it would be a good idea to share my Lust List with you. The plan is that once a month I will try to compile the top 5 products I am most eager to try and hopefully I can give you all some beauty inspiration (I'm such an enabler I apologise!
First on my list is the Ole Henriksen Melting Gel Cleanser currently £20.40 here on Feel Unique (RRP £24)
This is described as a gel that will transform to a luxurious oil to a hydrating milk as you cleanse with the addition of a splash of warm water which will emulsify the product to ensure all makeup is removed effortlessly. For a full list of Benefits from Ole Henriksen and the Ingredients list this can also be found on the above link as I know for some of you skincare obsessives ingredients are everything!

Next on my list is another skincare item I have wanted to try for what feels like an age. Of course it is the Pixi Glow Tonic! Available here from Cult Beauty for £18 which is the standard RRP.
Now this isn't just any toner, it has Alpha H acids which helps to gently exfoliate the skin without the need of an abrasive scrub. All you do is soak a cotton pad in the liquid and sweep it all over the face after a cleanse. A full list of ingredients and a full list of benefits can be found on the above link to the Cult Beauty website.

As for a Makeup lust I have been eyeing this one up for ages, the Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz Available here for £15.50 which is the standard RRP.
Now I have been using the ABH Dipbrow Pomade (review coming soon)for about 6 months now and I LOVE it however it is a bold look for an everyday brow so for ease of use I have really been fancying the Brow Wiz pencil as I think you can get a much more subtle look using a pencil and I have heard this one is by far the best. This beauty comes in 9 shades and has a good option for most hair types, even my grey brows!! Again a full ingredients list is available on the above link to the Cult Beauty website.

My Second Lust this month is the Charlotte Tilbury K-I-S-S-I-N-G Lipstick in Penelope Pink which is available here for the RRP price of £23
Now this is the only product I actually already own, for Christmas I was gifted one of these gems in the shade Bitch Perfect which is am OBSESSED with!! The texture and longevity of these lipsticks is something I have never experienced in another lipstick. The long and short of it is they are incredible and compared to other CT products I actually think these are fairly reasonably priced. Plus I would pay this price just for the packaging, they are cased in a stunning Rose Gold tube which looks very ritzy.

Finally I have a Beauty Tool to share with you which is the beautiful E3 Brush by Morphe Brushes available here for the RRP of £13.50
This brush caught my eye when watching one of Jefree Star's YouTube tutorials (a huge inspiration for me) this brush looked beautiful and if its good enough for Jefree its certainly good enough for me! I believe he used it to apply powder under his eyes but I'm sure this brush could be used for a multitude of different uses.
I have tried quite a few brushes from Morphe and in my opinion the individual brushes are of higher quality than the sets. I have also heard the E range is one of the highest quality ranges Morphe stock.
So I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully we can make this a monthly feature.
Love Always,
Megan

Getting Acrylic Nails For The First Time
Hey there,
Considering I'm as into beauty as I am there is one element to my beauty routine that is severely lacking. My nails. I would say about 90% of my life I have naked nails cut pretty short because I hate nail polish. The other 10% of my life has been spend battling with various brands of nail polish to try and find one that does not chip on the first day.
So to cut a long story short yesterday was the day for my nail prayers to be answered. Along with my mum (an acrylic nail newbie), my dear friend Hannah (another acrylic nail newbie) and Hannah's mum Dawn (Should have a degree in perfect nails) we all went along to the nail salon Dawn has been going to for around 9 years.
After many hours scrolling through Pintrest hunting for the perfect shape and design I came across this picture that I instantly fell in love with. Now I went for a more toned down version of this look but I just loved the ombre glitter tips!
Much to my mother's distaste I went for the Almond shape as I think his looks really feminine and would look really pretty with the ombre glitter effect I fell in love with. For my first set I wanted to go fairly short so I would get eased into the world of acrylics and so I could at least manage basic tasks like buttoning up jeans (this may take practice).
I have to say when they were first applied I felt like I had someone else's nails on, it was really bizarre! But now after 1 day with them on they feel almost normal and I have to say, if my nails will look this pretty for 4 weeks at a time I think it is definitely worth the money!
Now I know that acrylics are not good for your own nails but neither is dying your hair and I was never one for not doing what makes you feel good. So although they may not be everyone's cup of tea, they are definitely mine and I think I am going to keep getting them for the foreseeable future.
Love Always,
Megan

New Beginnings
So its the new year and I feel the need to be writing a post all things new in my world. Cliché I know.
So the main thing that is new in my life is that I have a new job, now if you know me you may not be shocked by this as this has turned into somewhat of an annual occurrence. The difference is that this year my new job is a s Beauty Consultant for Givenchy. I CAN NOT WAIT!
All my life I have wanted to work in the beauty industry and this is my first opportunity to do so and I cant quite believe my first beauty job is at one of my favourite high end counters. Another bonus is that I will be working a few less hours a week to focus on Blogging and YouTube as this is something I have really missed whist at my last job.
As for New Years Resolutions my main one this year is to avoid my nemesis Gluten at all costs. This is something I tried to do in 2015 and failed miserably. Think Bread, pasta, Cake etc. I basically disregarded the fact that eating gluten makes me ill and ate as many bacon sandwiches as I could fit in my mouth. So this year so far I have avoided the stuff for a grand total of 8 days - pathetic I know - and am hoping to keep this up throughout the year.
I believe positive attitude it the key to success so instead of being pissed that I cant eat whatever I want, I am instead going to try and have a positive attitude and enjoy eating my salad.
I cant wait to have more time to ramble on here and I hope you all have a wonderful 2016.
Love Always,
Megan
